Meeting the family and the kids today for the in home child care position went really well. The mom is extremely nice, and the kids are pretty well behaved - or at least as well behaved as a 6 (J), 8(T), and 10(A) year old ever are. Went to see Wall-E yesterday night. Very cute film. I didn't love it enough to go "OMG, WANT WHEN IT COMES OUT!" like I was with Get Smart (which I kinda want to watch again. Oy... I am *not* used to lifting all these little kids. My back is complaining about that today. It would be a lot easier if the cribs in the nursery weren't 3/4th as tall as I am, so aaaallll the lifting has to be done from the back. I can lift pretty heavy stuff using a mix of my legs and my back, but using just my back and my abs a little ( Read more... )

First day of work went well... Got baby food splattered all over my jeans, but other then that and just a lot of hours in general, it was fun. First two hours I'm in the nursery with 9-11 month olds, and then I'm in with the school age children (5-10 years) for the rest of the day...
